Installation Requirements
- Don’t forget to fit the cold-water inlet flow restrictor to the cold-water inlet (F24e and F30e only).
- Don’t solder the copper tails to your system pipe work while connected to the jig or with the boiler in position.
Electrical Connections
- Don’t put mains voltage onto the low voltage connections.
- Don’t forget to remove the blue link when using voltage free or 230-volt external controls.
Component Structure
- If you are in a hard water area, i.e. more than 200 mg/Litre; it is recommended that a scale reducer be fitted.
Component Change
- Always use clear silicone grease on the ‘O’ rings at reassembly otherwise you may damage the seats.
- The wiring to the thermistors and overheat are not polarity sensitive and can be connected either way round.
Advanced Combination Boiler
  • Isomax F28e
Installation Requirements
- Don’t forget to fit the cold-water inlet flow restrictor to the cold-water inlet.
- Don’t solder the copper tails to your system pipe work while connected to the jig or with the boiler in position.
Electrical Connections
- Don’t put mains voltage on the room thermostat connection.
- Don’t connect anything other than the optional remote programmer to the remote controls connection. The polarity is important; the boiler will not work if this is reversed.
Component Change
- Don’t over tighten the screws on reassembly.
- Always use clear silicone grease on the ‘O’ rings on reassembly or you will damage the seals.
- The wiring to the thermistors and overheat are not polarity sensitive and can be connected either way round.
High Efficiency Condensing Boilers
Condensing
- Don’t forget to fit the cold-water inlet flow restrictor to the cold water inlet (combi only).
- On extended flues, don’t forget to allow for 2.5° fall back towards the appliance.
- Condensing boilers plume more than ordinary boilers so be aware of this when positioning a boiler, as sometimes your customer or your customer’s neighbours may see this as a nuisance!
Electrical Connections
- Don’t put mains voltage onto the low voltage connections (combi only).
- Don’t forget to remove the blue link when using voltage free or 230-volt external controls (combi only).
- If you are in a hard water area, i.e. more than 200 mg/Litre. It is recommended that the hot water temperature setting be reduced and that a scale reducer be fitted.
Component Change
- Always use clear silicone grease on the ‘O’ rings at reassembly otherwise you may damage the seals.
- The wiring to the thermistors and overheat are not polarity sensitive and can be connected either way round.
